Hartlepool Carers launched our annual Summer Programme again this July and with huge success and even more events for the community of unpaid carers to enjoy.
This year our Summer Programme was jammed packed with fun events for Carers of all ages. From walks to crafting to theme park trips and beach parties, many of which were booked to capacity, there was plenty of things happening around Hartlepool for Carers of all ages and interests.
We understand that being an unpaid carer can leave you with little time to organise any fun activities for yourself or your family/loved ones. Seeing so many people attend the events this summer really showed how important our Summer Programme is within the community of Carers — it gave everyone a chance to be carefree for a while and meet likeminded people who understand the need for fun and respite.
We only hope next year can be even bigger and better!

My personal favourite was Flamingo Land with our Young Carers. The teens have been asking for a theme park trip for some time so it was great to be able to raise the funds to do it for them, hopefully we can do it again next year!”
