A typical carer spends 25 hours a week caring for loved ones. Taking this statistic as a starting point, The PFC Trust has launched a new fundraising initiative for 2021 based around the number 25. Initially, they are aiming to raise £50,000 to fund a new caravan for Hartlepool Carers, with additional sums being used as part of the Trust’s Covid-19 response.
The team have been scratching our heads for a worthy challenge (as you know, Sarah has done some stupid things just by herself!) and have come up with a 25 hour exercise relay challenge. This is where we are looking for carers and our supporters to help us!
Commencing 9am on Saturday, 27th February 2021 we are looking for people to commit to 1 hour of exercise of their choosing (adhering to current government rules around social distancing etc) to ensure we are on the move for 25 continuous hours, ending at 10am on Sunday, 28th February.
We are then hoping that people will sponsor us for the challenge.
We will be hosting some live activities that everyone can get involved with:
Saturday, 27th February:
9am: Starting our 25 hour challenge with an hour of seated exercise – perfect for people of all ages and abilities
2pm: Take your dog for a walk! We would love to see 25 pups and their families out for a walk.
Sunday, 28th February:
9am: Wake up and Shake Up to finish the challenge with an hour of classic cheesy songs to dance to.
More activities to be included – if you can host an activity please give us a shout (yoga, pound, dance etc)
If you would like to be involved and help raise funds for the caravan please contact Sarah on 01429 283095 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know what time slot you would like and your chosen activity.
