The Board of Trustees
Chairman – Mrs Ruby Marshall O.B.E
Vice Chairman – Simon Piercy
Simon moved back from London to care for his father full time, after being diagnosed with dementia. He registered with the charity as an unpaid carer before being invited onto the board of Trustees. He is passionate about the Charity and wants to help the Charity move forward.
“I love what Hartlepool Carers stands for and I am excited for the future of the Charity. I became involved as I am passionate about supporting unpaid carers. Due to being an unpaid carer myself I understand the issues, problems and worries that can effect unpaid carers. It is my aim with the Charity to make it a valuable resource within the community and ensure all unpaid Carers are given the support they need and deserve.”
Trustee – Mr Martin Brown
Martin has worked as a solicitor for Tilly Bailey and Irvine in Hartlepool and Stockton for over 30 years advising clients on family issues. During this time he has encountered many people in need of help and support. Hartlepool Carers provide support to families at a time when it is most needed. He therefore wishes to do his best and use his legal and business experience to help the organisation continue to grow and flourish to meet these needs.
